Sometimes, when refilling, due to the huge expansion ratio from liquid to gas at high pressure, unknowingly, empty air is filled in instead of LPG. As the gas skid operator, you may notice gas pump dispenser dashboard meter reading, so fast than before. During refills, be careful, the meter reading reads so fast, compressed air is filled.
Compressed air stored in a cylinder bottle is just an ordinary air that would be lost quick during consumption; which is why it is always recommended that as the gas skid operator, you should test run through entire gas skid filling system, each time you want to perform a refill. This will help push out the compressed air out from the pipelines, refilling nozzles, for easy FLOW and circulation of LPG from pipes down to the gas pump dispenser.

In most situation, using the gas skid filling system, you may not notice, compressed air is being refilled, not actually LPG. However, this also may be from a faulty gas pump dispenser, damaged motor or gas level is low in the storage tank. In this scenario, manual tank-to-tank refill can be an alternative.
LPG is stored in cylinder bottles, tanks or containers, in bulk, for local LPG retail resellers. However, the tank-to-tank refill also required additional precautions such as storing gas cylinder bottles in a place where the LPG boiling point is slightly lower than room temperature, which means that inside the cylinder is under moderate temperature. Also, gas cylinder bottles must always be kept in vertical position. Do not move the cylinder bottles during the operation and must be performed outdoor's.
