Refilling gas cylinders through the gas skid filling system is very easy and safe, unlike the local LPG retail resellers tank-to-tank method, which is very dangerous and can cause fire of explosion in a case of gas leak age.
The LPG gas skid filling system is efficient and faster. It components are made up of accessories which enable smooth flow of LPG gas content to cylinder bottles without any gas leak. These accessories includes the:
i. Electronic gas leakage control
ii. In-line leak detection with water bath
iii. Refilling gun/nozzel
iv. Digital scale
v. Excess flow valve and much more....
Purging The Air: Inside of the gas cylinder or container must be eliminated of air. It should have some free expansion area for enabling gas inside of the cylinder.
For LPG gas skid operators, before refilling any gas cylinder bottles, always check if it comes with additional accessories. Disconnect the LPG regulator from the gas cylinder valve. However, if it is the 50kg and above cylinders, safely remove the safety cap attached to the valve. Then place the gas cylinder bottle on a tare control digital scale. The TARE control scale attached to the refilling gas pump, weigh the empty cylinders. The input figure on the digital weighing scale, should show the empty weight of the cylinder bottle. On the digital scale, input on the gas pump dashboard the litre or price for purchase. Pressing the "RUN" button, enables the motor engine to start. The filling machines fills the cylinder bottles and stop after the input figure IS complete. Using the nozzel/piston placed on it, after refilling, disconnect it from the cylinder bottle head. Then safely reconnect the LPG regulator back or put back the safety cap if not in use.
Note: For medium size cylinder bottles such as the 3kg, 5kg, 6kg, 10kg and 12.5kg, always check whether sealing ring (O-rubber) is in place inside the cylinder valve, before or after refilling. Do not refill or use gas cylinders if the ring rubber is missing.
