Can Using Of CNG Gas Work Effectively For Vehicle Owners In Nigeria?

Some years ago before the 2023 presidential election, nobody really realized Nigerians will need Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternative to petrol and diesel.

I asked myself a question where is the country with the largest number of CNG vehicles in the world? The answer was Pakistan. Nigeria was left out. Not until recently, Nigerians now want to know more and learn how to install CNG on vehicles and conversion of petrol powered vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

Until now, the present administration of president Bola Ahmad Tinubu have been trying their best to make Nigerians, state governments and corporate organizations to invest in CNG.

In 2023 at meeting with Federal Government institution, a gas roadmap for CNG was put in place, to lunch over 1 million CNG vehicles to Nigeria roads by 2027, but implementation have always been the problem. Today because of removal of subsidy and rising cost of petrol, the Federal and State Governments have seen the need to invest in CNG.

CNG Conversion Centres and Mega Stations are now established in all Local Governments which will create employment for many youths. Fully set up CNG Conversion Centres and Mega Stations for the Nigerians and other Corporate Organizations are very much now available.

If only they can establish cottage outlets with necessary infrastructure most especially power where SMES can go produce or process their products. It would have been better.

Lastly, cost of imported electronics will increase. No problem. it is business of demand and supply.

Cost of fuel increases. Government is just wicked.
