Gas In Tanks: LPG Tank Volume Capacity And Specifications In Nigeria

LPG gas is normally stored in a steel container, cylinder or tank in liquid form under pressure from 0 kpa at -42°c to 1784 kpa at 55°c, and turns back into gasous state when released of some pressure. It is good to know that LPG exists as both liquid and vapour (gas) inside the gas cylinder bottle, and it is sold in two forms as commercial Butane and Propane. LPG can then be stored in a camping canisters to BBQ gas bottles to larger gas container and much larger LPG tanks or bullets.

The small LPG gas cylinders such as the 3kg - 5kg are mostly used for domestic use. LPG in Nigeria is mixure of both Propane and Butane at different proportion. Cooking gas cylinders can be a 3kg gas cylinder or a 12.5kg domestic cooking gas cylinder. Or a 2.5 tons LPG gas plant storage.
