How To Know If What You Need Is The High Pressure or Low Pressure LPG Regulator - Here Is Few Specifications To Know

The pressure of the LPG in a cylinder bottle expands rapidly when its temperature rises, and can also be much higher than it is needed by the appliance that use it. It needs to be controlled to ensure a steady supply at constant/moderate pressure. This is done by a REGULATOR, which limits the pressure to suit the appliance being fuelled.
A gas regulator is s device that automatically controls anything such as speed, temperature or pressure. Depending on what you want for usage of the LPG gas contents, you have the option to either go for the "High Pressure (unregulated) Regulators" or the "Low Pressure LPG Regulators".

LPG gas is stored in high tensile steel container under high pressure. The pressure inside the cylinder bottle well depend on the type of gas regulator used.  When you start using LPG gas, some of the pressure in the container is released, in constant pressure, to suit the appliance that is being fuelled.

High Pressure LPG Regulators, releases LPG gas rapidly and can be sometimes much higher than it is needed by the appliance being fuelled. Unlike High Pressure LPG Regulators, a Low Pressure LPG Regulator limits the pressure to suit the appliance being fuelled, which is why low pressure regulators are approved for home use only. 

High Pressure LPG Regulators are also known as "Industrial Regulators". These types of regulators are designed for the gas supply of medium pressure (2 bar) appliance, such as blowpipes and flame welders. They are mostly unregulated, meaning they give out/releases high LPG gas equivalent to one stored in a liquid form under pressure inside a large LPG tank. High Pressure LPG Regulators are not for home use. They are not recommended to attempt for usage indoors for what so ever reasons.

The High Pressure or Low Pressure LPG Regulators are for every type of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), be it Propane, Butane or mixture of both. However, they have different specific usage and purposes. Low Pressure LPG Regulators are domestic regulators used to supply gas to utilities at specific (regulated) pressure and flow. And the High Pressure LPG Regulators are not for domestic use, but mostly for industrial purposes. 

When ordering for gas regulators, always check for the user manual for technical information. This information helps determine the specifications and purposes that the particular gas regulator can be used for. Technical information includes:

* INPUT PRESSURE (P): This is the max of pressure the gas regulator can deliver. Also all LPG gas regulators, be it High Pressure or Low Pressure LPG Regulators, comes with the same INPUT PRESSURE.

* OUTPUT PRESSURE (PD): This is the amount of pressure and speed in LPG content that is released to the appliance being fuelled.

* GUARANTEE OUTPUT (MG): This is the speed of LPG gas to the appliance being fuelled per hour. High Pressure LPG Regulators supplies high LPG gas content, close to 4  - 8kg per hour.

* OUTLET CONNECTION: This is the regulator inlet and outlet valve connection type. It must be compatible with the cylinder bottle and the appliance being fuelled.

* TYPE OF LPG: This specify the type of LPG that a particular gas regulator is suitable or works for.
