Gas cylinders are also subjected to testing after every 5 years just to make sure and reconfirmed that it is in a good condition. Generally, the lifespan of gas cylinders are 10 to 15 years. In some countries, the test date is permanently stamped or marked on the bottles, however, the testing period can vary by country. This testing includes internal and external inspection for leakage, rust and any other damages.
Gas cylinders are best inspected regularly for safety, especially gas leakage test. Soapy water test, physical testing, including pressure tests may be required depending on the type of gas bottles and the country where it is tested. In five years on an average, you should take your gas cylinder bottles out for inspection. This inspection is done with latest technology, in approved testing facilities.
