1 a.

1 b. When the gas bottle is put down in a horizontal position, the flame burning at the top of the gas cylinder bottle rush to the ground and spread to the bottle body to be heated unevenly and causing an explosion.

2. In a case of FLAMES on the gas cylinder, when the valve of the LPG gas cylinder is in good condition, the first is to close the valve, cover the valve with a wet towel, turn the valve by hand to close, and the fire will be put out after the valve is closed.

3. If the valve of the gas cylinder on fire is damaged, it is not necessary to put out the fire. First, carry the gas cylinder bottle to an open area and stand, then cool the gas cylinder with water and wait for the LPG gas to burn.

4. Best option is to use a portable fire extinguisher if flames persist.

So, an LPG gas cylinder can explode when it is exposed to extreme heat or fire. This usually happens when there is a gas leak and the gas mixes with air. If there is a spark or flame nearby, the gas can catch fire and cause an explosion.

Here are some common reasons why an LPG cylinder might explode:

1. Gas Leaks – If the valve or hose is damaged or loose, gas can leak out.

2. Poor Storage – Keeping the cylinder in a hot or closed space can increase pressure inside.

3. Faulty Equipment – Using old or broken stoves, regulators, or pipes can be dangerous.

4. Improper Handling – Dropping or hitting the cylinder can cause damage or leaks.

How to Prevent LPG Explosions

• Always check for gas leaks. You can use soapy water on the valve or pipe. If you see bubbles, there is a leak.

• Keep the cylinder in a well-ventilated area.

• Turn off the regulator when not in use.

• Do not place the cylinder near fire or heat.

• Use only approved LPG equipment.
