Most times, due to continuous use of gas stove regulator control, it starts to give sign of technical trouble. You may noticed flames coming out from the gas stove control regulator. This can be very dangerous if you don't find an immediate solution. When you switch on your gas stove for cooking, and noticed flames under the control regulator, quickly switch off the gas cylinder bottle. Then, with the help of a wet towel, placed on top of the burner & valve area. Or use an extinguisher nearby. Do not attempt to use gas cylinder until problem have been rectified.
To fix this fault, you will need something to cover up the space where the gas is coming out from. Find a thread seal tape. Disconnect the burner & valve set from the gas cylinder bottle top. Then, unscrew the nut of the control valve with a spanner. Cover the space with the thread seal tape, then fasten the nut back again. Do not over-tighten so to prevent damaging it. Be careful, avoid using a pillar to fasten back the nut of the control valve.
