Normally, LPG gas is stored in steel tank, container and cylinder. The presence of moisture around the gas bottle can cause it to rust or fade. Luckily, you can redesign your old and rusty gas cylinder bottles. Obviously, it should be something that looks in good condition and hasn't been tempered with. It must not be knocked or dented in anyway. Avoid reusing gas bottles that have already been damaged by hole. Damaged products must be recycled.

To turn that your old and rusty gas cylinder bottle to look as brand new, you could use bottle cover. Plus the cover can prevent any rust from a really old cylinder from further rusting. However, bottle cover isn't really that good (apart from visual). LPG needs to absorb heat from surroundings to convert liquid into vapour. Cover on the cylinder will work as insulation, slowing down the process. Sure, it is a good idea to use when it is very, very hot, but may have flow problem when its cold. 

So, what should you know before rebranding?

1. The presence of moisture, most especially salt water around the gas cylinder bottle can cause it to rust and fade. The bottle cover protect it from atmospheric agents, weather and sunlight, all which are factors that can actually cause gas cylinders to rust.

2. But if gas cylinder ain't exposed to these elements, rusting is impossible.

3. Rusty gas cylinder bottles should be recycled, as explained above. If your gas cylinder bottle is rusted to the point it becomes dent and starts to peel, you should avoid using it. It's very dangerous, as it may explode or catch fire. Rust weakens gas cylinder bottle.

Painting preserve keeping gas cylinder bottle in its original state, in good condition. Painting rebrand and prevent further rusting. However, do note that gas cylinder bottles also have expire periods. Avoid using expired gas bottles, it is highly dangerous. You might just be having a ticking bomb just setting next to you.
