Unlike water, 1 kg of LPG does not equals 1 Litre of LPG. This is because the density of specific gravity of LPG is less than water. You can find the water capacity (WC) of a gas bottle stamped on the neck ring.

The water capacity (WC) of gas cylinder bottles is mostly irrelevent for consumers. Engineers use it. As it suggests, the water capacity of a gas cylinder is the cylinder capacity of the LPG gas, as if they were filled with water. Conversely, 1 Litre of LPG weighs 0.51 kg. A good conversion rate to remember for cylinder bottle water capacity is that 1 kilogram is approximately equal to 1.96 Litres of LPG. Also note, that water capacity of a gas bottle is not the LPG Worth (LW). It is totally different.
