3 Simple Tricks To Finding Out What Type Of LPG Sold At Any Autogas Or Gas Stations

So, how do you the type of LPG gas offered at any autogas stations around you? Here are 3 simple tricks to help you figure that out:

1. Ask the gas pump operators if that autogas allows self-service refilling. Then, you can ask them what they have  offered at the moment. You can often find refills at some fuel (petrol or gasoline) stations near popular camping routes or sites. Some autogas station allows cylinder bottles refilling, although it is considered illegal in most countries.

2. It is possible for autogas LPG in a country to be totally different from the cooking gas. Example, butane may be offered as autogas, while on the other hand, propane for cooking gas. You will notice the gas pump dispenser comes with directives. Also the operating temperature range differs from butane and propane. Operating temperature range is 0/+50°c for butane and -20/+50°c for propane and LPG. Butane last longer in the winter than propane.

3. Look for clue. Some autogas station makes it obvious to know what LPG is being offered - like sign board or even place a "BLUE" painted cylinder closer to the autogas so to know that "Butane is offered Here"
