For supplying LPG to gas plant tank, some tank gauge measures from "0" (reservoir) up to 90% - with 5% in between. The gas to be delivered to your gas plant depends on what you have ordered, and also on the tonnes and size of your tank. You can't place an order for 5 tons LPG supply if what you have is 2.5tonnes tank. It is impossible. The appropriate litres to refill into your gas tank all depends on the gauge and the size. Overfilling beyond that can lead to danger. So, 2 tonnes LPG supply means 3,500 litres on the bobtail truck meter.

Before ordering for a supply, make sure you have nearly empty your storage tank. Or you can purposely do that yourself. Which is why extra 50 kg tanks are advisable to have in any gas plant. Also, don't forget to keep an eye on the meter reading of the delivery bobtail truck. Check the litre reading of the bobtail, and calculate to the normal gauge. If it is not correct, quickly report.
2.5tonnes should give you 4,375 litres of LPG gas:
2,500 X 1.75 = 4,375
Check your storage tank gauge also, because some suppliers their meter may not be accurate, and they won't tell you.

4,375 of meter is 2.5 tonnes. While 1.75 liter is 1 kg. So if the truck discharge 1,750 liter that is 1 tons. You now know that 1.75 multiple by 2500kg will give you the meter value.
Like I said earlier on, it is best that you empty your storage tank before any supply. This will help you understand how much LPG supply your tank can actually hold using the gauge as reference.
How To Calculate The Price From Depot In Nigeria
For a particular company, the depot price you're looking at is for 20 metric tonnes which is 20,000kg. So, to get the depot price for each one, you will divide the price stated there in millions by 20,000. Very easy. Alternatively, take the first three digits and put decimal after the first figure, then divide by 0.02. Easy!!!!
For example, if 20MT Tonnes is sold at your depot for N9,550,000 naira, then:
9,550,000 ÷ 20, 000kg = 477.5 per kg.
