Auto-gas Stations
Auto-gas stations are one of the most common places to refill your propane tank. Many auto-gas stations, especially those located along highways or in rural areas, offer propane tank refilling services, but you may need a compatible adaptor or transfer kits. Simply drive up to the propane refill station, and an attendant will assist you in refilling your tank.
Propane Retailers
Propane retailers are known to provide propane-related services, making them one of the few options for tank refills. However, most of these propane retailers are illegal in some countries. They are even known as BLACK MARKET. Recently, regulatory agencies have been cramping down on few propane retailers in illegal places, due to fear of fire or explosion.
These retailers are often not trained staff, who can assist you with refilling your propane tank, without placing safety as utmost priority. Look for propane retailers in your area using online directories or by asking for recommendations from locals.
Home Improvement Stores
Home improvement stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, or Ace Hardware often offer propane tank refilling services. These stores usually have propane refill stations located outside their premises, making it easy for customers to refill their tanks while shopping for other household items.
Hardware Stores
Local hardware stores may also provide propane tank refilling services. While they may not have dedicated refill site like larger retailers, many hardware stores have the equipment and expertise to refill propane tanks safely. Call ahead to inquire about their propane refill services and operating hours.
RV Parks and Campgrounds
If you're on the road with your RV and need to refill your propane tank, RV parks and campgrounds can be a lifesaver. Many of these facilities have propane refill stations onsite to accommodate the needs of RV travelers. Additionally, some campgrounds may offer propane delivery services directly to your campsite for added convenience.
Propane Delivery Services
This by far is the best option. When you run out of gas, consider using a propane delivery service. These services allow you to order propane refills online or over the phone, and the propane is delivered directly to your home or business. While this option may be more expensive than refilling your tank in person, it can save you time and effort, especially if you have a busy schedule.
Running out of propane doesn't have to put a damper on your plans.
