Business is about starting from scratch while you keep on scratching. If you can get a used 50kg cylinder and used scale plus gas refilling nozzles. You should be able to kick start with N400,000 naira thereabout. Don't get misled by people saying that you need millions to Kickstart cooking gas business. Maybe that is true, you do need a lot of cash in capital to open a standard operating LPG gas plant. Or even LPG gas skid is close to the million range. However, with that little capital in your hand, you can start a small shop retail cooking gas business.
Even fairly used cylinder is nothing less than 70k for now. You will need (2) i.e 70×2 = 140k. Original camry scale is about 50k, while Kenny's camry and others are around 30k +. Now you will have to fill the cylinder with gas. That's around 47k, even if you go and ask the cheapest place. And you will need 6kg fire extinguisher and you will rent shop or buy container. Even that 150k is very to small, unless you already have the 50kg cylinder available already.
Don't forgot to put refilling heads. You can still get a used cylinder at #65k, depending on the seller. Used scale at 30k. Refilling accessories at #10k, and gas at #45k depending on your location.

If you don't know much let me now break, even more smaller. The accessories that you can get at 10k now. Clip (1) dozen wholesales price is N700, camping transfer N2500, UTil Nut N1500, Hose (2) yards = #700 × 2 = N1400. Standard transfer head = N3000. The main transfer handle best is N5,500.... without transport it will cost you N13,900 that's if you're a professional.
And how would one use (1) cylinder for business.. why will you go and buy used scale to start a business... you can get it if you're already in the business... I trained people so I'm not new to this..
A friend of mine opened his own with almost 400k plus. Not up to a month. It is even more than that now. However, even if you have 300k, you can start. It's not how you start it its how you finish it.
You need at least three 50kg cylinder, which is about 300k and something thousand, plus filling head about 25k, plus scale 65 to 70k, plus gas itself about 140k, plus shop rent depends on the location but roughly 60k, total is 595,000 with out accessories.
But 400k will start with (2) two cylinders. However, small money is not 500k. Just go to the market and from here price with, how much is shop rent first. Before you buy gas cylinder bottles, work on the shop. Buy gas, do good advertising, my friend 500k go go. Even with 2 bottles, original Camry scale 150kg now is between 75k or so, and gas cylinder from 90,000k, it is now almost 100k.
