Preventing LPG Skin And Eye Irritant

LPG is non-corrosion and clean burning. However, it can be toxic if you inhale it in sufficient volume. It can cause nausea, shortbreathness, which could lead to suffocation. LPG could also peel your skin as it frost. Because LPG is highly flammable and toxic, certain basic safety precautions should be followed.

After use of gas cylinder, make sure the valve is firmly closed to avoid leak prior to transport. Close gas regulator immediately after use. Do not use you gas cylinder upside down, as this allows gas vapour to escape. Vapours may cause flash contents under pressure. Also, use gas cylinder under adequate ventilation. Do not store above 120°f. LPG is skin and eye Irritant. In case of contact, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Leaking cylinders could be from a rusty or faulty valve. Remember to mark leaking gas cylinders so nobody else can use them. Always keep children away from gas. A one metre "kid free zone" is a good idea. 

Gas cylinders are pressurized container. It should be protected from sunlight and not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°c. Do not pierce or burn even after use.
