For gas cylinder leaks, how can one detect a gas leak at home?
Soapy water is formed by adding detergent to water. Gas leak forms soap bubbles when soft water is used. You just need to pour the soapy water in a spray pump bottle, then coat all of the gas accessories such as hose pipes, valves, regulators, home appliance outlets and so on - with soapy water. If you see gas leak soap bubbles or smell choking rotten eggs, you know you have a leak.
NOTE: Soft water is more preferable for soapy bubbles than hard water.
