Gas skid fuel pump dispenser nozzles do also developed some mechanical troubles. Due to continuous usage, nozzles may become too loose, untightening itself, causing gas to leak from the connections between. In case of gas leak, however small, are dangerous and issues must be rectified. Escaping gas from nozzle mouth may cause fatal health risks, fires or explosions.
It is always recommended to change gas pump nozzles once in one year. Replace adapters, valves and regulators as recommended by the relevant regulations. There is no fixed lifespan for nozzle gun. Sometimes they continue to give good services before it developed some mechanical faults (getting stuck while turning on and off). And some, are just not of quality. Won't work well only for a year.
For gas skid filling system nozzle replacement, is adjustable wrench or spanner, which can be changed into different settings to loosen up the nozzle gun from its hose pipe. Adjustable wrench or spanner have a hook that fits over a nut or bolt head. Use a thread seal tape (Premium Quality Teflon Tape) for loose valves, adapters or bolt spaces, and also for bayonet screw fitting. Just any place where leakages can occur. If you want to change gas pump dispenser nozzles or valve, if damaged, a thread seal tape should be used as a support to tighten together to the connection outlet. This prevent gas from escaping through the connecting joints.
Do not weld the joints together by heating. For gas skid safety, irons are only joined together by strong adhesive glue. Glue and thread seal tape can be in permanent hold, to stick the nozzle tight together with the hose pipe.
