The difference between the scale reading and the tare (empty) weight, is known as the LPG worth; or approximately how much is remaining in the gas bottle. LPG worth helps determine the amount of LPG gas can be contacted in a particular gas cylinder bottle. As the gas skid operator, knowing the LPG worth (LP) makes it easier for you, because you how know how much LPG per kg to be refilled in the gas bottle or tank.
Disconnect the regulator and hope attached to the bottle and place it on the scale. The tare (empty) weight of the bottle is stamped on the neck ring top handle. The difference between the scale reading and the tare weight should indicate approximately how much gas remains in the bottle. The scale reading is substracted from the TARE worth (TW). Tare weight is the empty weight of the gas bottle cylinder. Along with the LPG presently inside, and the bottle dimensions, gives you a totally scale reading.
For example, if 6kg worth of LPG gas is being refilled into a 12.5kg cylinder bottle, scale reading well equivalent to:
6kg + 12.5 kg (Tare weight)
=> 17 kg (Scale reading)
This means, if you weigh a cylinder bottle of 11 kg size on the digital scale and get the figure of 17 kg. To calculate approximately how much gas remaining in the gas bottle, all you do is:
11 kg - 17 kg (Scale Reading)
=> 6 kg ( LPG remaining amount)
