A perfect, observatory and well written sales record can actually determine how far your business is faring in local market. Every LPG resellers need a record for every LPG gas sold each day.
Having a sales record books is very important, as it will help you to know your profit/gains or losses, including expenses for each day, week or month. As a reseller, your sales record book should contain important details such as: the initial LPG available in gas cylinder tanks, selling price, Kgs sold for each day, expenses, leakages, profits and losses.
For LPG resellers, a sales record book should look as this:

1st RECORD BOOK
LPG Per Cylinder Tanks: E.g if you own a LPG retail shops, each gas cylinder tanks of 50kg, should have different record books. This is include the amount of LPG refilled in each tanks. For example, if you own three 50kg gas cylinder tanks, depending on the amount of LPG refilled into it, the contents per kg in each gas tanks, should be recorded. If you filled up a 50kg with 25kg of LPG, you should record down the 25kg for resale. This helps for proper analysis of profit and loss at the exhaustion for each gas cylinder tanks.
DATE: This should contain the dates when each 50kg gas cylinder tanks were filled.
2nd RECORD BOOK
This record book should contain customers information, including kg purchased, and date of purchase.
Price Balance: This is record of customers leftover change (cash). You should always record this piece of info, just in case a customer returned back for his/her cash balance. It is best for you as a sales staff to always keep this type of records, so to prevent total miscalculations of profits and cash at hand with inclusion of customers leftover cash.
KG Sold: This is the total kg sold to a particular customer at a given time. This record is needed per each 50kg gas cylinder tanks refilled for resales. So, at the end of each gas tanks exhausting, you can easily calculate the profits per cylinder tanks.
Customer Names: Should contain names of patronizers. This record book is needed as explained earlier on, in case of leftover changes or cash balance. This will help you track back the transaction.
Other record book is used for recording expenses.
