A sales record books have to contain important details such as the opening and closing meter reading. As a sales staff, for everyday you resume for your daily work, it is very important that you take the "opening meter reading" from the gas pump dispenser dashboard. Also, take the closing meter reading at the end of each day work.
Taking the opening and closing meter reading is very compulsory, as this is the only way for you to properly calculate the profit and lost for each day. If the gas pump dispenser comes with double face dashboards, you should make sure to take reports of each readings.
A sales record book for LPG gas plant business do not contain much information as the small scale resellers. It is very simple and easy to put together. Well understandable "table of contents".
Writing Your LPG Sales Record Book
Opening Meter: This is the meter reading for each gas pump dashboard. It is also the previous day closing meter, and the present day opening meter. What this means is, for each day you resume for work duty as a sales staff, it is recommended you take the meter reading on the dashboard of gas pump. Now this is tricky. For business that have schedules or shifts, as morning, afternoon and evening - how can you do this properly with mistakes in readings?
Easy!! Depending on when you resume for daily work, or maybe at the end of the other shifts day ends, whichever person you are going to be replaced with, should write down his/her closing meter for the dashboard reading for the given time. Now, his/her closing meter reading, is now your opening meter reading at that period of time, until the next shift. So, the next shift then becomes your closing meter, and through opening meter for that replaced shift.
