However note, Calor-gas and Flogas are private companies, and as far as the gas bottle is concerned, it is consider illegal to refilling from unauthorized refilling sites. Whether the exchange-only bottle comes from a foreign or UK gas supplier, the bottle will always remain the property of that supplier who will always prohibit user-refilling. Again, this is mostly done in rural areas of communities.
Refilling your empty 50kg propane tanks can be properly done at gas plants or gas stations which allows gas filling system refill. You might much be offer by some fuel stations to refill your 50kg bottle directly. To do this, will require a special adapter to fit in the gas pump and POL valve. You can purchase this from local gas store. The inlet and the outlet of the adapter must be correct and suitable for the cylinder valve and application.
